Privacy Policy

We are committed to protecting the privacy of our donors, program participants, volunteers and website visitors. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and how we keep it safe, in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect

• Contact details you give us through forms or email — your name, email address and message content.
• Donation details — your name, email and donation amount, so we can receipt and acknowledge your gift.
• Program participation details — information you choose to share when registering for workshops, events or peer support groups.

How we use it

• To respond to your enquiries and deliver our charitable programs.
• To issue donation receipts and keep required financial records.
• To send updates you have asked to receive — you can opt out at any time.

We never sell, rent or trade personal information. We do not share it with third parties except where required by law or where you have asked us to (for example, a referral you request).

Peer support confidentiality

Anything shared within our peer support groups is confidential. Personal information from group members is stored securely, accessed only by authorised facilitators, and never published or shared without explicit consent.

How we protect it

Personal information is stored securely with access limited to authorised team members. We retain information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law, and then delete or de-identify it.

Your rights

You may request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, at any time. Contact us at info@diversitynowaustralia.org.au or write to U 4 44 Mahoneys Rd, Thomastown VIC 3074. If you believe we have breached your privacy, you can complain to us directly and, if unresolved, to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always published on this page with its date.
